It was held that as the notification under Section 20 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927, as contended by the applicant and so the claim that the entire area is a reserved forest cannot be accepted unless a notification under Section 20 was produced. However, Mr.M.C.Mehta had placed a notification dated 10-4-1980 by which declared the entire area as protected under Section 30 of the Forest Act. It was indicated in the notification that the petrol pump fell within the ridge area and the effect of this notification would be considered when the case would be listed again.
