The selection of the appellant to the post of Chief Technical officer was upheld. SC rejected the contention of the respondents that appellant had close association with Dr. Roy who was there on the panel of Selection Committee was rejected as it was found that besides appellant 5 other candidates along with respondent 1 and 2 were associated with Mr. Roy as Mr. Roy was the director of Central Food Laboratory where all of them were employed. Further, SC held that appellant had the desired experience for the post considering the facts of the case.
