JUDGMENT

 

Kurian Joseph,J.,

 

1. Mr. V.V.S. Rao, learned senior counsel appearing for the appellant, seeks indulgence of this Court for one more chance to the appellant for purging the contempt.

 

2. We permit the appellant to present himself before the High Court with a DD drawn in the name of Commercial Tax Officer concerned of an amount of Rs.42,08,818/- and two DDs for a total sum of Rs.2,00,000/- (one lakh each in the names of the Telangana State Legal Services Authority and Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority) and also present himself before the High Court with a written apology and also make an apology in the open court on Thursday, the 17th August, 2017.

 

3. We make it clear that in the event of the appellant taking steps in terms of what is noted above, it will be open to the High to pass appropriate orders, de hors the stand already taken the impugned order. In order to enable this order to be worked out, the arrest, as ordered by the High Court, will be deferred for a period of one month.

 

4. The appeal is accordingly disposed of.

 

5. We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.

 

6. Pending applications, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
