Mr. Altaf Ahmad, learned amicus submits that the construction work of boundary wall is in progress. He further submits that there are two entry gates of the monument, namely, Buland Darwaja and Hathi Darwaja. He has shown some photographs showing that the main road which leads to Hathi Darwaja needs clearing and improvement. Learned Counsel for the State of U.P. and Learned Counsel appearing for other Respondents would take necessary instructions and inform this Court as to within what period this road can be restored to proper use for entry to Hathi Darwaja. 2. Mr. Ahmad has also shown from the photographs that Hathi Darwaja itself needs repairing and restoration. Learned Counsel appearing for the Archaeological Survey of India submits that the work is in progress and this being on the backside of the monument would also be repaired. He submits that the work is in progress and Hathi Darwaja would also be restored to its original shape. 3. Learned Counsel appearing for the State of U.P. may get instructions from the Secretary of Tourism, Government of U.P. and also from the Chief Engineer, Public Works Department of the State of U.P. I.A. No. 65: 4. Liberty is granted to the applicant to approach the Hon. Chief Justice for placing this I.A. before the concerned Bench. I.A. No. 61: 5. Learned Counsel appearing for the Archaeological Survey of India submits that there are about 83 trees within the parking area of the Shopping-cum-Interpretation Centre constructed at Fatehpur Sikri, which needs to be removed in order to provide proper parking facility to the public. We are of the view that efforts must be made to save as many trees as possible. 1 SpotLaw Therefore, we direct the Learned Counsel to get a report as to how many trees can be transplanted in the nearby area.
